topic Motion Smoothness in Android TV

Model KD-43X80K: I am noticing that where there is movement there is a noticeable lack of smoothness. Hand movements, for example, are particularly affected. I also use a Bravia KDL-32WD756 and there is no sign of this lack of smoothness of motion.

Both devices derive programming via Freesat. The KD-43X80K has of course an inbuilt satellite signal port where as the KDL-32WD756 is connected via a HUMAX HB-1100S set top box. Catch-up services for both are derived from an adequate internet connection where the KD-43X80K is coupled to the router via Ethernet cable and the KDL-32WD756 via Chromecast.

Really rather disappointing from a Sony product. This the first Sony TV in some 40 years that has me wondering whether I should have chosen a different brand

Before I attempting any picture adjustments of the sort described in the online manual is there any advice available from the community?

Stewart C
