i have sony bravia tv and i have a wideband lnb how do i set up freesat?

I have 1 Sky q box and 1 mini box

The starting point for any request for help is the full model number of your TV. It will start with KD- or XR-.

Unless you specifically specified that you wanted to keep an existing FreeSat setup when you ordered Sky Q then it will impossible to add normal FreeSat as you needed a Hybrid LNB. Wideband LNBs only work with the new 4K FreeSat boxes and don’t work on most TVs including Sony.

Thanks for that. So you cannot set up FreeSat on your TV with a standard wideband LNB. If you have a look at the LNB connections at your dish you should see that all the ports are in use. If you do have a Hybrid LNB then need a satellite installer to add and feed the cables to your TV. You could enquire about them installing a Hybrid LNB if you don’t have one.

Thanks for the info, will get a price from a local installer as i think sky would possibly overcharge

Hi @arthurx1234 Sky would not be interested. They only fit a Hybrid LNB if ordered in advance and the cabling is already in place. They have zero interest in FreeSat.
