Battery discharges all of a sudden n power off

My sony xperia c3 dual battery discharges frm 50% to 0 mkg it shut down all of a sudden .....100% battery lasts only four hrs or so ....whn i recharge ,it doesnt show d correct recharge ,means smtms its normal charging but smtms it ll show 60% just aftr few seconds ....does d battery needs changing or sm software problem ??

Hi @Rituc3, I'm sorry to hear about your phone.

Could you try recalibrating the battery to see if that helps in making the battery show an accurate level? To do so, discharge your device completely or down to about 1-5%, then turn it off using the OFF-button next to the SIM area. Once you've done that, charge it fully while the device is still turned off before booting it.

Hi @adrian08, sorry to hear that.

Prior to trying out the suggestion written above by @uliwooly, could you try calibrating the battery as well? I mentioned it previously in this thread, but to do so, discharge the device completely until it powers off, then press and hold the OFF-button located next to the SIM area until the device vibrates three times, then charge it fully (until the LED turns Green, or for a few hours to be sure) and then boot it. Does it now present you with the correct battery levels?

is it normal that when i turn it on. starting applications appeared and optimises of about 200+? it takes about 30 min to wait .. and it wastes so much time for me.... answer pleaase

This should only happen after installing a software update. But seeing the huge amount of apps you have installed, I'd suggest that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Follow the steps given in the blue link, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Note that this will erase all the data on your internal memory, so backup using Xperia Companion before proceeding with the repair process (but don't backup apps or settings).

@adrian08Sorry to hear that it did not affect the battery percentage which you're presented with. In this case, the next step which I would recommend would be to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion (also mentioned by @Quester above), to see if it could be software related.

Regarding the app optimization, I am afraid that I do not have information regarding under which circumstances the device may choose to optimize the apps. However I will request this information internally and write you back as soon as I know more regarding the feature!

I am very sorry to read that.

If the behaviour persists even after a software repair using Xperia Companion, then I'm afraid that the course of action which I recommend is that you have it sent to an authorized service center so that a technician may examine it for you.

In order to have it sent in for servicing, I advice you to get in touch with your Local support as they are well informed regarding your local markets service routines, warranty terms and consumer laws.
