Missing Front Camera(?)

Hello.

I need help and it's about my front camera switch thingy. I wanted to take a selfie but then when I went to camera and looked for the switch, I couldn't find it. I used to have it before probably a few days ago but when I checked today I couldn't find the switch. Can someone help me?

[I have a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua.]

Hi @SnippitySnipSnap, sorry to hear that.

The icon for the switch will usually be missing if the front camera doesn't work properly.

There is a inbuilt test in the device where you can see if the front camera works or not, without using an application. Go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Tests > Front camera and see how it works in this test.

If it works fine in here, go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data > OK and launch the camera application again and see if you have the switch.

Should the front camera not work in the test, try restarting your device in safe mode, just so we can make sure that no downloaded application is the cause of this.
