lost notes app

Hello,u just update my sony xperia m2 d2303 yesterday for android version 4.4.4.i noticed that the notes app and some widget are lost..can somebody please help me how to recover these things bcause i hv many important things inside the note..thank you

Settings > apps > all > scroll to the bottom is the app there?

Thanks for the reply..no its not there...and i'm very sure that i dont uninstalled it..after the updates the notes app gone already

There isn't much to say here, you could sideload the app, what I will suggest is to whenever you get access to your notes download Google Keep, that way you don't have to worry about losing them

Hi this has just happened to me too. I did update then my Notes has gone completely! I had lots of important info on them, can't believe it's disappeared.

This also happened to me last night. I'm not happy as lost loads of important lists. If I'd known that the app would disappear when I updated I wouldn't have ever used the app.
Unbelievable. Extremely annoyed.

The same happens here. The notes app disappeared WITHOUT ANY PREVIOUS WARNING and now I don't know where is the info stored on it. Simply incredible. Does Sony think nobody was using the notes application?

Is there any way to download and install the Sony Notes apk?

Has happened to me too, can't find app anywhere, have tried looking in settings, apps, all but there is nothing there. Surely Sony must have a fix for this, help!!!

The Notes app can be dowloaded back,but i didnt find a way yet to retrieve the lost notes..btw i download google keep recommended by uliwooly..i think its quite better than the Notes app

I just updated my xperia m2 software yesterday and when I wanted to use my notes app, I couldn't see it anymore and I had a lot, I MEAN A LOT of important notes there and I couldn't have uninstalled it because you couldn't uninstall a pre-installed app especially when it's a sony app. Please how do I retreat my notes?

I'm from the Philippines and I too, lost the Note app and I had really important notes there. don't know what to do anymore

They are gone forever. My girlfriend just lost 1500+ notes and there is no way to get them back. Even backups wont get them back even tho we managed to get the notes app back from xda developer forums.

Well, Sony just made it clear that we wont buy Sony devices anymore. They silently delete apps during updates and backups are useless in these kind of situations..

I've same issue app note disappeared due to this update. Sony must informed us how have a backup

Solved? Can anybody tell me where is the solution to this problem?

There isn't any solution. Only solution is to start over with another memo/note app that actually saves the notes somewhere safe.
