I am facing issues while uppdating software using the PC companion.

Facing Issues while updating to latest versions.

Currently version : 4.0.2.A.0.62

Trying to update to 4.1.B.0.431 (thats what PC Companion suggests).

While updating it gives the following Error

"INSTALLATION ERROR"

"Unable to install or start phone software update components".

Yes, the same thing here... Tried to update to 4.1.B.0.431 on my EXPERIA ray, but the INSTALLATION ERROR appeared... What should I do?

Same also here. Even tried uninstalling PC Companion and re-installing with no luck again.

Help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The links forward to me update the software PC companion , while the version installed is the same ..

So do you think this is a issue due to PC Companion?

This issue is most likely caused by some firewalls or other security program blocking the download/install of components. Try to temporarily turn them of and run this again.
