Auto-rotate screen on home screen?

Hello

I bought my Sony Xperia T just two days ago and I noticed that the screen rotates to landscape

when I open any app. I just would like to know if the screen can auto-rotate to lanscape on the

home-screen.

It's the first time that I'm using a smartphone, so I am kind of ignorant on this topic.

not with Sony's home launcher, it will rotate if it's connected to a computer and/or wall charger, other than that it wont, you need to install another Home launcher

on a side note if while connected to a computer or wall charger the home launcher it's not rotating, most likely the issue is SmartConnect

go to

settings > apps > all > smartconnect > uninstall updates

I also would like to know if the videos are always played on landscape mode, or if that can be changed?

always on landscape mode unless you use another video player app, youtube videos can be watched either or

Search for 'Ultimate Rotation Control' app on Google Play......customisable & you can trial it before buy.

Works a treat on my Xperia T.

thanks uliwooly.u r way too genius.this auto-rotate problem on my Xperia Go was making me crazy.But when i connected it to my PC or charger the auto-rotate feature of home screen works...

Hey I have a Sony xperia z past 2 yrs. Itz updated till 5.1.1. Today suddenly Itz home screen started auto rotating. Plz help Itz really irritating for me
