hi i really need to unlock this phone from O2 for FREE but dont know how or where to go... any help?

The only way to unlock it for free is if O2 give you the code, other than that you will have to pay, it is not up to Sony to unlock the phones but your carrier/network

I was not able to get free unlock for the Sony Xperia U.But you can paid service to get the unlock code.

You can contact your Service provider to get the unlock code for your mobile.If they deny, You may try other ways to get the unlock code. There are many ways to get the unlock code like Unlock-Zone.com where they will send the permanent unlock code with free unlocking instructions through your E-mail.. Then you can use this code to easily unlock your mobile.
