Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

How did you transfer the files?

Are you able to play them using another music player? In that case you can try to clear data for Walkman under settings > apps > all > Walkman > clear data. Restart phone and try again.

I transferred them via "share it". No none of my music players even show them i think the music files dont really exist so that they cant be deleted but walkman still shows them how can i get rid of those ghostly files!

That's strange. Try to connect your phone to a computer or download a file manager to search for the files and see if you find the files.

That's sounds strange. Try to clear data for media storage under settings > apps > all > media storage > clear data.

This force your phone to index all media again.

Restart your phone and try to see if Walkman can find and play your files.
