Theme Creator

Does anyone know if the theme creator app. that you can download from the site is compatible with the C905a. I have windows vista and I could not download my theme that I had created either by USB connection or Bluetooth!! Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!!

Yes, the C905 is on the Themes creator list, so I assume the C905a will also be compatible.

Thats wierd...I followed each of the directions for bluetooth and usb connections and I always ended up in a dead end. Do you have any advice or reason why I can't connect?...Could there be something wrong with firewalls or maybe just a vista mishap??

1) If you're connecting via Bluetooth, click on the "Upload to Phone" tab at the top of TC and in the "Select connection box" that appears add COMx (where x is the port number) and press OK: you will then get a meassage on the phone asking you to accept the incomong theme.I'm assuming that prior to this you have already connected your phone to the PC via the Bluetooth Serial Port Service.If you don't know the port number, open the Bluetooth main window, rest your cursor on the depiction of the phone, right-click and select Status: the port number (COMx) will be in the information box that appears.

2) If you're connecting via USB, the theme should be automatically downloaded to your phone as soon as you click on the "Upload to theme tab"--I have Windows Vista as well.

Regarding the problem that you are having I need to get some information: What is the error? What does it say?

Via bluetooth should be fine. Can you transfer other items via bluetooth?

Okay, so a day later and still no success :smileysad:...This is was the inital error says..."Unable to open serial post. When using bluetooth, make sure serial service is running. When using the USB cable, make sure the mobile device is in phone mode and correct drivers are installed." I'm not sure where to go from here. I follow the directions that it states to follow by bluetooth or USB and I can never seem to connect. With the bluetooth, I have no idea how to look for my phone on my computer. and with the USB it just doesn't work, despite my phone says its ready to be used with the computer and starts to charge...It also seems odd that when use press the tab to upload, when i want to choose the means of uploading, it doesnt give me an option with box avaliable, it blank....I have to press the "how to" tab to go any further.

I have download the software twice and still nothing

Any help would be great... Thanks

So after using the "help" tool, I found that my sony vio is even more outdated than thought....It doesn't have bluetooth!!!! so I guess the USB route is the only route for me at this point, any help would be much appreciated.

when trying to add my phone/ device, my computer gave me an error "code 10"....

Sorry I'm just responding, for some reason this forum and pretty much this whole site has been unable to load...

But anyways, since i first posted on this site, I have successfuly loaded multiple themes onto my c905a. The problem had been that my phone was stuck on "media share" mode. In order for the phone to be able to download the newly created themes, it had to be on "phone mode" or "PC mode".

This problem was solved by going to:

1) Menu

2) Settings

3) Connectivity

4) USB

5) While phone is connected to USB, click the "USB mode" tab

6) from there the phone will say that you must dis- and reconnect your phone

7) Upon reconnecting, the phone will give you a list of options for your phone, switching to "phone mode" as one.

Thank you for everyone's help and I hope this forum is able to help anybody else who encounters a problem
