Sony Ericson W890i - inactive sim & messages won't send ?

Trying to send messages but they are saving to 'Output' as queued . The symbol on the main screen shows the envelope sending icon from the last message I tried sending

The first message I was unable to send I moved from 'output' to saved messages hoping it would then release next message but still not sending (but receiving messages)

The message in saved messages which if I could delete may help, prevents me from doing so - 'one or more messages could not be deleted' ????

Any ideas how to resolve appreciated ???

Can the phone make and recieve calls?

Yes, I can make calls & answer them. I can also receive messages but not send them ?

this has happened to me on two occasions previoulsy and has just happened AGAIN! i think it happens when your phone turns off in the process of sending a message?

What i did to solve it was to turn off my phone, remove the battery and simcard, then put everything back in again, turn on the phone, (set the time and date, though i dont think it makes a difference XD) and then go and delete the message that you were unable to send. I have the same/similar problem with my J105 Naite [8 months old], the handset displays a message of 'Inactive SIM' and restarts at any point of time. This problem is apparently due to a PCB fault and the solution is to have the same replaced. There is not a software fix for this issue if you have warranty send it back and get it replaced with a different handset.

In my case, they replaced the PCB once, refused to recognize the problem the next time. They said, orally, that it was a SIM Problem,

I have

i. had the SIM replaced by the service provider, [BSNL]

ii. tried another SIM from the same service provider, [BSNL]

iii. tried SIM from another service provider, [Tata Dokomo]

iv tried all these SIMs on LG and Nokia, absolutely no problems,

the problem still exists, am going to go back to the service center, have been troubled since about 3 months!!

so........ best of luck........... but act fast if under the warranty so they will replace free of cost ................ otherwise it is REAL expensive, God help.........
