Battery Use by Screen is too high

Not sure if I am the only one having this problem.

I have set my screen brightness to 40% and using it for about 12 to 15mins while charging my phone thru laptop.

My BRAVIA Engine is "on", and my mobile data is also "on".

Now the problem here is instead of charging, my battery percent is going down (pls see screenshot below, from 81% to 79%)

In a separate instance, I had tried switching off the BRAVIA Engine but the screen usage is still around 40% to 50%.

My screen brightness is 50%, is this even normal? or there is a problem with my phone?

charging through a computer will take a LOT longer, if you are using the phone while you are charging through a computer the battery might drain faster that it can recharge
50% or so of your battery it's normal if the screen it's on quite often and if the brightness its set to 100%
don't just post the list but also post the graph, and tap on the top 4 items on the list (take screenshots and post them)

Thanks for the tips, but as I mention earlier, my brightness is only 50%.

there are many posts on this subject about power usage etc

remember you are looking at percentage so it's relative to the other reported devices - you could in fact have asked your question a different way in the OP - for example

All my apps and services are so good at conserving battery that my screen at 50% brightness is the biggest user

My screen is the biggest user on my phone - that does not mean it's a big user

and on the charging point - the PC charges at a much smaller level than the mains charger, I have actually played a game on my phone while on the mains charger and the battery was slowly discharging - this phone when at full tilt consumes a lot of power

Haha...maybe I am really not good at posting question in a constructive way.

What I am trying to put forward is can this be normal? or have I done something unknowingly?

My phone battery is at 72% from 100% within about 2 hrs and I am not using it all the time.

As such, I find it wired and started posting in search for some clues.

Oh btw, I did read up some similar posting, well maybe I overlooked some.

do this

charge your phone 100% > once the phone is down to 70% take the screenshots but make sure that this time you do take a screenshot of the list and then tap on the top 3 items and take screenshots of each and post them all here, that will let you/us see how long the screen has been on

but it seems normal
