JB up - Country I live o' country I bought ?

Hi,

I would like to know if the date of the JB update for XperiaP depends on the country where I bought my phone or the country where I use it ?

I'm asking this because friends of mine that bought Xperia P (2 peeps bought it after I recommand it) already had JB updates since almost 4 days and I didn't (we living same place, same phone...). So I'm wondering if it is because I bought mine in Honk-Kong (from ValueBasket) ?

I precise i'm living in France and that it was a unbranded model.

Then I'm just wondering why there is no informations about that update ? It's really weird and amazing for a company like Sony to leave so much people in doubt ? Seems like Sony don't care about some consumers that like to keep their phone up to date which is not a bad thing, is it ? Why being so imprecise ?

I found a beggining of an answer in a suggested post below but I'm still not sure. About Sony, ofc they could have just not released jb for Xperia P and thats really a great thing they didn't but it's hard to get good informations [(looks like a Daft-Punk release with a special Taiwanese version ]. Anyway, I will wait, nvm.

I have the same problem. I have been waiting eagerly since 1 April:(

I live in Australia and I have been saddended as the International Business Times Australia informed me that people in this country already recieved Jelly Bean on the 4 th of May.

I bought my phone from Hong Kong as well from an ebay store.
