Xperia V sd card storage issues

Hi, I have this problem, I can't save anything in my sd card, everything goes to the internal storage... What can I do?

Or is it because the card is broken or corrupted??

Can you please elaborate a bit? What happens when you try to save data on SD card?

What if you set the camera application to save on SD card? Open camera > settings icon > data storage > SD card. Does that work?

Can you use settings > storage > transfer data to SD card?

Hi, that's the problem, always says save in internal memory, never sd card, and I have this notification always (transfer to sd card)

I have the same problem!!
I also have this notification transfer to sd card. And all of it go to the second storage
And my sd card is empty!!

i also have the same problem... i cannot select sd card as the memory location, but i can transfer photos to sd card settings>storage>transfer data to storage card, i'm using the latest camera update of 5.4.A.0.20

i have the same problem for "Smart Voice recorder" and "Galaxy call recorder" apps. in 4.1 i was able to select SD card as the desination for memory location....

So you have set the camera to save pictures on the SD card but they still are saved to the internal storage?

Try to clear data for camera under settings > apps > all > camera > clear data. Restart the phone and try again.

If that doesn't help. Try using another SD card or try to format the SD card.

i can now select SD card as the destination..

however i'm still unable to select SD card for smart call recorder and galaxy voice recorder

pls help

I have a problem with the SD card too,
The SD card deleting my files or corrupting my files i try to transfer my media from the pc by usb cable and wifi transfer app. But not all my media or files working i have the latest update. 4.3 jelly bean. Please any help to fix this bugs

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you tried to format your SD card? First of all make sure that you have all content on your SD card backed up/moved to your computer. Then go to settings > storage > erase SD card.

Restart your phone, transfer back content to SD card and see if it works better.

That is because Xperia V use the internal sdcard storage as default. Most of the apps don't have a choice for you to pick your actual storage, they simply save to the default storage which is the internal stroage (named as sdcard). Therefore your REAL sdcard will only be able to hold photos, videos & music.

If you want to use your REAL sdcard to hold large sized video, photos & other files you have to use some file explorer apps.

I hope Sony can come up with a solution to let user choose their default storage location at system level.

Having similar problems SD Card not shown at all though have tried several cards and different formats and no joy driving me mad wish I have stuck with Samsung now

Hi, my experia V, suggested I move data to my sd card. I Diss, now I can't see any of my pictures I took, it's a black box, with a thorne white picture in it. Where can I view and use my pictures?
