Whatsapp video sending problem

When I send a video through whatsapp, it compressed the video to smaller file size for sending, after it compressed, its only show grey lines but audio is ok.

its not your phones mistake it may be whatsapp error try to reinstall whatsapp(latest version)....

even then if the problem remains just install the former 1....

I uninstall n install with the latest version problem still remain.

Thats not the problem with xperia c or whatsapp..
Actuallly whatsapp video size limit is 16mb... And it compresses the video size to normal if its larger than 16 mb or if the size is smaller than 16mb than whatsapp automatically change its resolution to smaller one

Even i am facing the same problem tried everything uninstalled whatsapp rebooted and again installed new version of whatsapp but no use same error receiving person only see grey and green lines of video send, i just buy this phone 10 days ago. if any one have solution to this.

It is not only with xperia, i had the same problem with nexus 5. Some videos will work, others will not. Still trying to find a solution.

Allright, I think I have a solution to this problem.

I am a LENOVO S930 phone user and have experienced THE same problem on sharing

videos on WhatsApp. After uploading the video, and sharing it to friends. The Audio is there but

the video is just like blinds of white and grey lines.

SOLUTION : Like one of the users has posted, the Problem lies NOT with WHATSAPP or YOUR PHONE per se actually.
The problem lies on the RESOLUTION of your video. Most video taken by phones now are HIGH resolution if not in HD format.
So, you may need to go to your Camera settings and lower the resolutions to VGA standard, That means you need to lower the resolution of your video

from HD to SD (Standard Definition) or lower it to 640x480.

If you have already taken the Video in HD format.. Dont fret.. its allright, you need to go to Google Store or Play Store or wherever you go to download apps. Search and download apps that will compress videos. Download them and use them to lower your HD vids to normal SD 640x480 size. After compressing them, try to re-share it. Im sure it will work.

Ive tried re-shooting a video with the SD 640x480 video resolution. IT WORKED. So now Ive downloaded an app called VIDEO COMPRESSOR by ANDROID PIXELS. Its a kewl software that allows you to compress your HD vids into SD VGA. and you can still maintain the original length of the video, but compressing in its original length may take some time.

WORD OF WARNING THO : This app is FILLED with a lot of Ads. So be carefull. So Better method is to put your camera to VGA format.
