Widget and home screen terrible lag

hello,

I have recently been facing a major issue.. whenever i press the home key, the widgets disappear for 5-8 seconds and the home screen becomes highly unresponsive! i understand that if many applications are running, this may cause some lag in the launcher.. but this happens even when no other app is active.. plz give a solution!

Have you restarted your phone lately?

You can download the application 'app cache cleaner' from Google Play to clear unnecessary cache memory which can make the phone slow.
