Hi i cant record voice in small app (green mic) facebook messanger and app like whatsapp any ideas what is wrong?

It says ''cant setup the recorder now, please try again later.'' ''Unable to record'' etc

Try this please:

Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All Sound Recorder > Clear Data.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER UPDATE TO JELLY BEAM 4.3. ALL APPS WITH VOICE MESSAGE IS UNABLE TO RECORD (FB MESSENGER, WTSUP), VIBER CALL ARE SILENT I CAN'T HEAR AND I CAN'T BE HEARED.

Is there any way that i can put back my xperia Z to Androis 4.2.2 ? cause this new version 4.3 have many issues.

There are no supported methods to roll back your firmware. However I can confirm that audio recording certainly does work in 4.3 so if you have tried the steps outlined above then I would reinstalling the firmware via the steps below:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

You can repair actual software via sony update service or pc companion.

Pc Com. say there is no update .... and the issue persist ...... bad for sony user, i search for similar issues after update for other flagmans from other company, they have no sush problems

Unfortunately i haven't tried these steps yet, I just found out about this issue awhile ago. I've restarted my phone and the sound recorder seems to work I was able to take some videos too. However when i start sending voice messages using fb, viber or whatsapp I would have the same problem all over again what could be the problem for this?

FB Messenger bought me this Problem. When I send Voice message on that Messenger. I get bugged. And this further bugs all voice message servers on my SONY Xperia Z. And Only if I switch off and switch on the Bug gets clear and I could able to operate WhatsApp Voice message and other VM application. If I once Use this Messenger for sending Voice Message it gets bugged for which I need to Switch off and On to operate other Apps Voice server. This is what happen to me.

hi, i got the same problem my phone is z2.. the problem only happens when im using the voice recorder at facebook. when im trying to use it my facebook will hunged and stop running, and it will affect the other applications that can use voice recording/message like whatsapp and a message box will pop-up "can't setup the recorder now, please try again later" . i already try the "setting>apps>all>sound recorder" the button for "clear data" is hidden sir. so please could you help me with it?.

Show me one 4.3 or 4.4 device (except the Z2)
Which can record voice messages The Xperia V ,Z ,ZR ,ZL ,T all since 4.3
can't do that why do you ignore this why is the answer to that hey use PC Companion

Give me your IEMI so i can push a special update to you
