Hey guys, i would just like to ask if what i experienced with my phone was normal, yesterday i went for a swim, used my phone to take underwater photos and swim while holding my phone. after a while, i noticed that my front camera had moist on it, so i took my phone out of the water. after 2 hrs, i noticed that the back camera has now moist too. this morning, i managed to get rid of the moist by simply opening the flaps. within minutes the moist was gone. note that i did not submerge my phone for a long time, the longest maybe was 20-30 seconds. and i did not dove deeper than 5feet. i just wanna ask if what happened to me was normal? my phone is working well. no damages, just the moist on the camera lenses. thanks in advance!!

This does sound like moisture of some description has entered the handset, though it does sound like it was very small amount. It would likely be worth having your handset checked so please contact your local Xperia Care team to have this arranged.

I dropped my ZR about 3-4 Feet (Such stupidity), afterwards, I decided to test its waterproof ability if it still working, and to my surprise, it is still working, but just like the asker's problem, my phone's camera showed some moisture on the back camera lens/cover and also in the LED cover AFTER some time (not during the water test, it showed after 5-30 minutes), still, my phone is working properly without any problems. I would like to ask what can I do about this? I Live in the Philippines and I wonder if you do have some repair centers/test centers here, thanks!

BTW, the litmus papers on the phone remain white (No water has entered, I think), and the moisture/condensation goes away if I open the flaps for a few minutes, BUT, every time I test it again, the condenstation/moisture starts to show again, does this mean that some small amount of water is entering my device? (Which I doubt because, from what I have seen from disassembly guides of ZR, the Back camera is surrounded by the main Motherboard)

i tried to submerge my zr onto the water again, fortunately, no moist was present on it. unlike my original post. i think it is because of the water pressure, or the chlorine or something.

Had the same camera condensation issue.

Fixes:

- Opening the tabs worked for me. Took about 2hrs to free up.

- Rice in sealed plastic bag over night sounds like a great idea.

Try none invasive ideas.

Stay away from:

- Heat guns, too hot.

- Blower to much wind power.

Cause:

Was in a hot tub and the phone was out in the chair playing music. The location was an enclose (cave style) but had an ok ventilation. Seems the area was hot enough or just Orlando is to humid for this phone.

I noticed when the photos where coming out blurry and there it was, the white cloud.
