does anyone have headset button problems?

Im using MDR-1R mk2 and my headset button is not working. If i click button normally, my Z2 dosent responds.

If i hold button for a while, then Google Now comes up..

I managed to play/pause music by releasing button JUST before Google Now comes up.

This is soooo uncomfortable and i cant skip music! So i tried another android compatible headset or cable but they have same problem.

I also tried 3 buttoned android compatible headset. This one works verrrry weird.

Volume UP/Down key works fine. but if i click pause button it acts same as volume up!

I checked if my headsets are iphone headset, but none of them were iphone headset.

Funny thing is they works just fine with other device like SGS3, G2.

Please do not say "use 'smartkey', use 'headset control' "

i already tried and they didnt work.

You can download Smart Key from google play, this is one of the apps developed by Sony , give the feature like 1 click is pause/play, 2 click is next song, 3 click is backward.

I have the absolutely same issue. I tried downloading the Smart key, it just doesn't work, as simple as that. Tried my handsfree on my old Galaxy S2 with Cyanogenmod and it works perfectly. On my Z2 it occasionally works when the screen is on, which is exactly when I don't need the remote control button, becaues the phone is in my hands. Please, fix.

Um, a mod wrote here yesterday that they would change my phone if I brought it back to the retailer/Sony service. I then said I was glad this would be a solution, but now both my post and the mod's post are gone. I came back to print the response of the official Sony support moderator, so that I could show it to the service shop (in my country it's never easy to return a product, so I need all the evidence the problem is not ME I could get). Why would you delete your post and my response?

I have suggested a user to stop by a sony service,but keep in mind I am not working for Sony and this is a user support forum.

Well.. i bought 'iPhone' Compatible XBA-C10ip works perfect. How ironic.. Volume control is not working but i knew it before so its ok. I think sony can fix this with firmware update.
