Yes,I recommend Sony/Sandisk 16/32/64/128 GB micro SD(SDHC and SDXC).The class should be a least 6,but if you get a class 10,it would be great.

Hi

I hope that someone here can help me out. When I use my new Xperia Z2 with a SD card (tried with 16Gb, 32Gb and 64Gb) its getting very warm and it can´t find all my MP3's either. I've tried different card in different phones, I have the same problem with the Z1 Compact (both on 4.4.2), but there are no problems with the same tested Sd cards on the Xperia Z or Nokia 520.

Any thoughs?

Depends on the read-write speed of the card. Can anyone recommend a brand/minimum class? I'm currently using TDK 8GB (dunno what class this is) and the last time I felt my Z2 getting unusually hot was when I was downloading a 152-MB game from Google Play via 4G.

Read speed is the same for all class of SD Cards. Only the write speed varies.

empauleon,

do you have a lot of stuff on your sd card. If so, then this is normal only in the initial stage because android has to read everything on the sd card and index them. That way asll this imformation will appear in Albums, Walkman, and other apps as well. However, depending on the amount of data you have on your SD Card, if after a few hours it is still very hot, then it might be a concern. Especially if it becomes too hot.

Although I'm not sure why it doesn't happen on Z. Maybe it does them slower in the background.
