I put my phone in a 20 cm water for like 10 seconds and i dried it out with a piece of clothe and put it under the fan to make sure it is completely dried....... And the next day i found out that my back camera and flash have moisture on...... So i put the phone in rice for few hours and it was gone...... So i wanted to know if the reason behind that is putting it under the fan or not??

There could be a few different reasons for this, however if you have concerns regarding the water resistance of the product you are best to speak directly with your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment performed.

Hi this is kind of hard to explain, as it depend on the humidity of the country and the air. Each time you open up the flap cover there is chances of moisture get in to the phone as small molecule we cant see on our eye.

after we close the flap, water proof and there air contain moisture stuck inside the phone and the quick change of temperature may cause the moisture to condense inside the phone.

For a vaccum test you would have to send your Z2 away to your local Xperia Care Centre.....detailling the problem you faced and you can request that the test is carried out.

Not sure what your store means by 'Store Warranty'......if your Z2 is only a few days old i would demand a direct replacement but it really depends on the consumer laws where you live, if they wish to send it away for testing/repair depending where it has to go it may be away for a long time:smileycry:

I would first ask for a replacement.....be firm re how long you have had it etc.....if they hesitate ask them if they would be willing to quickly look over the phone, check flaps etc & place it in some water for say 5 mins then give it a good test ie video, pictures etc.....if they dont 'bite' on any of these suggestions then i'm afraid the best option is to have it sent away for testing/repair

Hope this helps & good luck, keep us informed :smileysmileywink:

After splashing some water around yesterday, I tried to take a video using the z2 back camera. The image on the screen was blurry so I inspected the lens. They had little droplets of water on the inside of the lens. The front facing camera isn't having the same issues, Only the back camera, led flash, and sensor in the front of th phone have the little droplets.

I would like to know if this is normal or if there is a defect in the phone. If it is a defect, who do I call to get it fixed.

Open the covers to the SIM and the SD card, have a very close look to see if there are any fine cracks in the plastic casing. I have seen this to be the cause of a couple of Z2 that have signs of condensation on the lens. Clearly, if there are cracks, the waterproofing has been compromised.
