I have just bought the Sony Xperia Z3C today and I was wondering if there is a way to put a large clock on the home screen, similar to what is on the lock screen? The little time in the top right hand corner is too small for me!

yes, pinch zoom or long press on the home screen tap on widgets then clocks

Also check out the multitude of Clock Apps on the Play Store......you will be amazed at the selection of styles etc.......some include Weather/Calender etc :smileysmileywink:

Have a look at some peoples Home Screen pictures for the various phone models on here & XDA forum site for tips & ideas

also do you know how to remove the google voice widget on the screen?

Hi @george237 What link are you asking about........also the Google Voice Widget, do you not just hold the app down until the red trash bin appears & move it up to the bin? I use a different launcher on my phone so deleting icons etc is slightly different for me :smileysmileywink:

Also on the Forum here in Z1/Z1s & Z2 there are Homescreens posted from members.......its just interesting to see how people customize their phones given that Android has so many options to choose from, you can change Home Launchers/Icons etc & change back to the original Xperia Home Launcher with a simple click, so check the Home Screens out on the Forum also, mine is in the Z2 section.........:smileyhappy:

@dandy63 It's interesting how there are users that don't want to take advantage of a smartphone, its not a bad thing more of a preference but if you have access to thousands upon thousands of apps, games, widgets, etc to customize your device, just do it

Hi @uliwooly it could be some people are just happy/comfortable with the layout or perhaps a bit wary of experimenting with the whole Android way of designing your phone to your taste....also if they have come over to Android from other makes who don't allow as much freedom, for instance i have an extra 2 Home Launchers installed as well as a few different Icon Packs not to mention all the various Apps i have from the Play Store......i can revert back to the Xperia Home Launcher or any of the others when the mood takes me.

If i download an App & try it but dont like it its easy to delete & try another that possibly suits my needs better.....

These phones are powerful........make the most of them & the Android system & go create

Indeed, usually when users move from a feature phone to a smartphone, either an android, ios, windows phone, back in the days with feature phones users had to rely on the company to release features, to record sound, to edit text, etc. I see how it can be intimating.
