Xperia Z4 tablet LTE variant removed from estore

Hi.

I ordered (and payment was taken via PayPal immediately) the Xperia Z4 LTE Tablet. It seems that this version is now no longer available to order from the estore and the pre-order page has vanished. Should I be worried?

The LTE version disappeared from the UK store over 1 week ago - search the other two threads here on delayed orders to find out when exactly, and all the problems there have been with pre-orders. For what it's worth, it would appear for those making early pre-orders that shipping may be starting at the end of this month, but no-one at Sony has any idea exactly when...

@drlmiles How is this the right place when we are merely a user led support forum and have no influence or ability to answer such questions which are Sony issues related to orders or warranty issues

@Thommo the users on this forum that have pre-ordered Z4 tablets have made many posts in this section, many of whom (myself included) have contacted Sony support and got either no or conflicting information. Between us we have been able to determine a semblance of information as to what is currently going on. At least one member has cancelled his order, based in part on this shared information. So this forum is exactly the place to come and find out what others have experienced in their dealings with Sony.

I do find it rather disturbing that when newbies post questions in this forum, they get almost a reflex response from forum senior members and moderators (cf the two responses in this thread) that just tell the person to contact Sony - when we have seen how unhelpful that can be. It is far better to hold back this sort of response until at least some other forum members have had a chance to pitch in, and reserve the "contact Sony" response until other avenues of help have been exhausted.

Speculation is great but that's all it is, so I ask again how are we supposed to answer a question of this nature in an official capacity? Simply put we can't so our replies which state to contact Sony care is the correct response should the member wish to receive an official reply and not speculation or rumors and to add we senior members have been instructed to direct members to the care page so if you have an issue then do say and I will personally pass this on that you object to our replies

I logged on to this forum by clicking on the support option on the Sony Mobile site, then Selecting the "Support Forum" option - which had this explanatory text attached: "Get help and exchange tips with other Xperia™ users".

This is a USER support forum, and the majority of posts come from other users. We are very grateful that some Sony representatives come on the forum and give answers, but MOST of the time the replies we get are from other users, and there have been huge threads with very little or no intervention by Sony.

It is perfectly reasonable for other users to ask questions about order statuses of other users, when the response from Sony has been so poor when users have contacted them direct.

If senior users and moderators have been TOLD by Sony to direct questions about orders direct to Sony, perhaps you should phrase it as "Sony has directed senior users/moderators that they should advise users to contact Sony for a question such as you have asked", although I have probably not phrased it right.

To re-iterate, the messages from other users posted in this Xperia Z4 tablet section of the Forum have been VERY helpful to myself and others who have pre-ordered.

Please can we move on, and continue to offer support to each other in trying to work out what on earth Sony is doing with our pre-orders.

Could anyone getting their tablet post what version, and which country, and preferably when they ordered. We may then have an idea of logistics that Sony has not so far shared with its customers

I'am French and I' have received the LTE version last thirsday by Amazon.fr (from Germany). So a few european LTE versions are availables...

In france, no availability....
