After updating to Lollipop 5.0.2 my Z3 D6653 has started overheating like crazy, without even having the screen on. I tried doing a repair, and it hasn't helped anything. The phone is so hot that I cannot even touch it. I looked through the running apps, and there isn't much running, less than there was before the update actually. On top of that, every time I try to open an app now, it tells me the app has stopped working. If I restart the phone, the app will work again, but a couple hours later it will do the same thing. It will even tell me apps that haven't been running have stopped working. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

If you believe you have a faulty device then you need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

I can't really guarantee that it was a faulty device though. It could be, but since it corresponded with the update to Lollipop, it could then be something with the new software couldn't it?

I wish I had an answer but I don't - It could be the firmware or it could be a hardware issue rearing it's ugly head and it's coincidence that it's happened at the same time
