Hi everyone, i'd like to tell you all what happened in one of the service centers branch in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Its Abhivrudhi tech in Jayanagar 7th block, which is a Sony AUTHORIZED service center. So i had this issue with my phone(Xperia Z2) where water entered into Camera lens and made it foggy for a couple of days. I kept the phone in rice bowl for 2 days straight and the moisture was all sucked and camera looked fine again. But i knew my phone wasn't or atleast may not have been waterproof anymore, so i decided to give it to repair in one of the better branches of Sony Service centers according to reviews in this support forum, plus i've had really bad experience with the Indiranagar branch(Sonnet care). I also had some other issues like
- Waterproof seal must have been compromised somehow through the headphone jack or microphone hole where the water might have entered into the camera.
- No AR coating filter on the camera lens cover.
- Loudspeakers output was low.
- Power off option used to restart my phone, so literally it wont turn off unless battery is 0.

Anyhow, after i gave for service, i got a message within 2 days from them that the phone is ready. I was surprised and called to query details. They said these parts were replaced.
- Motherboard
- New Speakers
- Battery top adhesive and
- New backpanel

When i got back my device, i started to use it as usually. But charging was real slow(Normally 3-4hours of charging using wall charger for 0-100%, but this time it was like 6hours). I neglected thinking the device and the battery need to settle down since battery was literally 0 at first, they also charged my phone for half hour and it was 7% before they returned my device for the 1st time, which made me feel suspicious about the battery thing. Anyhow still i used for like 4-5 days and i had this huge battery drain during standby(30%-50% overnight from 2am-6am). One night it was 42% and i fell asleep without putting it to charge. Morning i saw it was OFF and i charged for like 3 hours and then tried to turn on the phone, but it never did. No response whatsoever. Charging LED was on, but no vibrations nor did the phone get detected even to my PC.

So i took it back to that service center asking them why i'm having this issue, they said they wouldn't know since Z series phones are sent to HQ which is located in Mysore Road. After a couple days again, i got the call that the phone was ready and they said they had replaced with a new battery, new speakers and new vibrator saying its mandatory to replace them when the battery is changed which i highly doubt is necessary. I decided to put everything behind thinking that they might have deserved another chance. They told me the phone wasn't charged and asked me to wait for a while. Waited almost 1 hour and then they tell me the phone wasn't turning on again. They waste half a day of mine during a weekday and i had to travel all the way from Whitefield(around 30+ kms to the service center from where i live) just for them to say "Your phone isnt turning on sir, we've to send it back to the HQ".
Now i have a few questions to whomsoever it may concern,
- What kind of service center doesn't test first after they "REPAIR" the device? Before deploying it from the HQ, isn't it their responsibility to first test and then send it?
- When i first gave my device for repair, i had 0 issues with battery(battery lasted 2 days easily). Why did i get that issue after a REPAIR? Did they just steal my battery?
- Why do these Sony service centers in India always give new issues when they fix old issues after a service? This is not my first time(Had similar experience with Xperia Z and Xperia S)and i know for sure i'm not the only one here. Plus I know like 15 to 20 friends of mine who had this sort of situations.
- Where do i report to Sony about these looting pathetic service centers? Because i couldn't find any "REPORT" button, and i tried to send a mail through "Contact Us" and no reply came till now.
