Do you experience the same while on safe mode?

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

Welcome to the community,

I know this may sound to easy, but have you tried a simple restart to the device and any basic troubleshooting such as removing SD card and SIM for a short period of time.

I have the same problem, after the update there is the same ring tone for all of the contacts and I can't change it for anyone... 😞

i love using this xperia z, but after i got notificatin for upgrading i did updated my xperia z. i am expecting that my phone will be much good and nice but after i did upgrade 5.1..mt touch pad screen not working but have back light and still open but can touch? i did rebooting pressing power bottom and volume keys but always same problem? pls help me how i can fix it or how i can downgrade and back again to 5.0......

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

hello its me again.. i did pccompanion already its the same a few days i can use normal my xperia Z if no attatch or if i remove the sd card only simcard i can use but every time i insirt sd card i cant use the touch scrren again..... then after pccompanion now both even with or without sd card or with or without simcard and sd card now tottlay hung ot stock up so i cant use my xperia Z now after i did ur proccess to update pccompanion...pls help me to fix this

hello sir.. as of now i try to re update again using the pc companion.. now i can use again normal even with sd card... i can use already the screen but sometimes hung again but just long press the power bottom and it will move again...thank you for ur advice... sir @alexdon >>>MORE POWER

After update 5.1.1 on my Xperia ZR C5502 I see one change about loacation setting. When I set location with battery saving mode. Then if I turn off this setting and again on it then the location setting mode changes to high accuracy automatically. This may causes to battery drain. I have checked this in safe mode too. This change was not in earlier 5.0.1 update.

Lolliop has many good features than Kitkat but where as if we compare to performance it is not up the mark of kitkat.
