Hi! I have a problem, when i bought my Z3 the audio volume was really nice but over time the volume has gone decreasing. Now i play the media files or whatever and almost i am not able to hear anything and i don't know what's happening. I bought 2 Z3; one for me and another for my sister, and her Z3 is working perfectly. If anyone have any idea i would be very pleased!!!

Hi @mrsasuu,

Do you experience a noticeable volume difference if you compare both phones using the test for the loudspeaker that can be found in Settings > About phone > Diagnostics as well? Could you also test your phone in safe mode, in case this is caused by a downloaded app?

Thanks for testing it. At this point it is hard to determine if this is software or hardware related but I suggest that you perform a software repair using PC Companion before contacting your Local support team for information on getting your phone examined further at an authorised service center.

Hey mrsasuu i had a similar problem with the low volume on both speakers overtime, the solution i've come up is a rather simple one because warm water didn't do the trick, i turned off my phone completly and using some isopropyl alchol i first poured a bit in the speakerholes let it soak 5 seconds then shaked the phone screen down to remove any excess left i repeated the procedure three times and lastly i used a very soft toothbrush and gently rubbed the speaker grills, note i firstly poured alchohol in them and after that i left the phone to dry nicely for about an hour. It seemed than after a year and a half usage the grills gathered some dirt debris thus low volume after this the phone was sounding loud as the first day i turned it on

p.s. use this method on your own risk and if you use the toothbrush be VERY gentle
