Headset connected notification

Since firmware 32.2.A.0.224, which I just got via OTA there is a permanent notification that tells me that my headset is connected, when my headset is connected (surprise).

I cannot swipe it away and I also cannot permanently hide it by long-pressing and clicking (i), since there is no option to block all notifications from this particular app.

It would be great if this notification could be made optional, or even removed since it's quite useless and a huge waste of notification space.

@dd23 Before people complained why there isn't an icon for headset:

Now, it is not ok if the headset icon is there. You should forward this to your Local support.

It's not about the headset icon (which is perfectly fine for me). It's about the notification box that simply says "headset connected" and does nothing but taking up space.

Here's a screenshot (Text is in German, but that shouldn't matter). I marked the notification I'm talking about in red.

Open smartconnect and change the setting to "do nothing" on connection of headphones.

What he has highlighted is not the smartconnect notification. This is a new system notification that is always present when a headset is connected.

I'm finding it pretty annoying and unnecessary as well

Please make an option to disable this new Headset connected notification or remove it in the next update, also on XDA forums no one like it.

Why is this now default?? It wasn't needed before and it isn't now unless the goal is to needlessly take up screen space

Yeah, this might be default now, but I still think it's useless and the change should be reverted, or at least be made optional. As a last resort: let us at least swipe the thing away.

Also my vote for removing this notification (completely useless otherwise). I don't get it, why change the behaviour of the Z5 after almost one year? Is it simply to annoy current users?

IMO, Sony should concentrate on fix current bugs.

After the latest update I get a notification Headset is plugged in and an Icon.

On the lock screen notofication Phone Call Management shows up.

Can I get rid of it?

I suggest those with suggestions on design issues please join beta testing on Google+. You get to help Sony enhance their app or UI better instead of raising it here in a user forum.

If you're talking about https://plus.google.com/101664517498434307972 it's opened to Z2 and Z3 users only.

"Heaset is plugged in" notification cannot be cleared or disabled

This only started this past week and I've had my Z5 Compact for several months, so I'm assuming this came with some update or other. This notification is coming from "Phone Call Management" (an 'app' with the same icon as the built-in default dialer app). The notification itself is useless because, if I'm holding my phone to see the notification, I can also see whether or not headphones are plugged in. The notification tray is for important things that I plan on using somehow, and I don't usually have room for extra ones; it clutters up my view of what's happening on my phone and obscures much more important notifications. Unfortunately, I can neither disable the 'app' nor turn off its notifications. Developers: could you please make this setting optional, or get rid of it entirely? I use my phone as a music player all the time and this is really frustrating

Sort it out. I need to get rid of this. I listen to the radio in bed and the notification that headphones plugged in will keep going off and it's annoying my missus trying to sleep.
Anyone got rid of it yet.

I just put some water on the mobile to clean the screen and the mobile is constantly getting the notification of the headset by itself, the mobile is even getting hot, how can I fix it? It is supposed I can put water in the mobile, I don't even put it all into the water, what is happening??? Thanks
