I have purchased sony xperia z ultra which got damaged and was in warranty period.,i got that replaced from service centre Bareilly on date of 13 May 16.Now the new mobile fell in water after two months and got water damaged inspite its all ports were tightly closed. After going to sony service center i came to know that water resistivity is not covered warranty and xperia z ultra is not repairable. Now my phone is dead from last 5 months. I want to know why is not water resistivity covered in warranty. Why is not it told at the time of purchasing. Also how to get my mobile repaired. Is there any exchange offer for this.. Please reply

The phone has a piece of paper next to the memory card slot that turns pink when in contact with water, once this piece turns pink, Sony can assume that the phone is water damaged through improper care for the phone indirectly saying that it's your fault for the damage to the phone and any repairs will not be covered by the warranty.
