Backup and restore not working

Hi.

I have a problem since 8.0 update on my Xperia X Compact. Since the update Xperia's Backup and restore doesn't work. I have automatic backup turned on but it appears that every week it just skips it. After trying to do it manually app crashes (I get error message: Backup and restor has stoped working).

I tried:

- restarting the phone

- restarting in safe mode

- use sd card for backup location

- use Google account for backup location

- backing up separately (only apps, home screen...)

It always displays same error message and app restarts after it.

Settings > storage > other apps > menu > show system apps > Backup & restore > clear data > restart your phone > try again

After this it started and stayed at 0% for couple of seconds than it crashed again (Backup & restore keeps stopping).

Edit: It appears that Xperia Home layout causes the crash. After unchecking it backup worked.

but still crash on any restore attempts, or auto-backup, or file change attempt.
