Microphone on speakerphone not working since android 7.0

Since the latest firmware update the microphone has stopped working when using speaker only, like it's muted on speaker calls.

Any ideas?

Hi @Alofts, sorry to hear about this.

I would recommend that you start with recording a shirt video in your phone when using the microphone and see if you are able to hear your voice when viewing the video!

If you can't hear your voice when the video is being played, try rebooting your phone in safe mode. This way we can make sure that this is not caused by a third party application, since those type of applications won't be loaded while the phone is rebooted in safe mode.

Mine does the same, I have rebooted in safe mode and doing the phone tests and still the microphone does not work when on speaker phone but works fine all the other times I need it. Thanks

Hi @Ng83, sorry to hear that and I apologize for the late reply.

Since there was no change while the device was rebooted in safe mode, I would recommend that you try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of the device, so creating a backup using Xperia Companion before you start with the repair is advised.
