call log shows unknown for a dialled number

when i dial a new number which id not in my contact list from my xperia z it shows as unknown in the call log. when i touch it to call again it does not show the number also. please help me as to how i can resolve the issue.

Try settings-apps-all-phone app,clear data and force stop.Restart the phone.

hi..d same problem keeps coming up..dialled numbers are shown as unknown in the call log. i tried force stop the phone application and restarted my phone. it worked for one or two times but again facing the same problem. pls help wid any other solution that i can try

I have the same problem. I tried to clear data and force stop phone app, but it didn't solve the problem. Is there any other solution?

Boot your phone in safe mode,see if the same occurs:

Do this:Try your SIM in other phone,see how it goes.Also,try other SIM in your phone.If still having problems,visit a sony service:
