Hi Danial. Thank you so much for replying to my post and so quickly. I was just about to do as you suggested, but I suddenly had a thought - I wondered if my USB cable was faulty? It came with the Xperia S so is about 2 years old. So I plugged the phones in using the new cable that came with the Z2, and hey presto! It worked perfectly.

But thank you for your suggestion which is useful to know in the future.

Lisa

Hi. I have just bought a Z2 and want to move my contacts from my old Xperia S onto it. I run Xperia Transfer on my old phone which appears to be successful, and then attach the phone to my PC. Sony PC Companion says it is transferring the information off my old phone but it just sticks there - nothing else happens. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Xperia transfer doesn't work with Iphone despite what is anounced in the advertising. I have purchased a Sony Xperia Z1 compact on Monday and brought it back to the shop today as I was not able to even transfer one contact from my Iphone. Too bad I'll wait now for the Iphone 6.
