what xperia phones have ir blaster and are waterproof?

what xperia phones have ir blaster and are waterproof? I'm very confused with all the xperia versions. what are the differences between all models? they seam very similar. I'm looking for a phone with irda and that is waterproof. what xperia models have that? Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I'm sorry to say that we don't have any model that have irda and that is waterproof. Only our tablets (Tablet Z and Z2 Tablet) meet that request.
Our only current model with irda is Xperia ZL but it has no IP classification.

is it normal for sony representatives to lie to the consumer?
is this the kind of behaviour to expect from them?
Because I've checked what alexdon said and ZL is not waterproof BUT japanese versions of Z and Z1 are indeed waterproof and HAVE ir blaster.

Actually,it is hard for you to get one of the Japanese versions,but he is not lying at all.ZL is the only one available for you that has IR.I only put the others there for your information.

how do you know if it is hard for ME to get one? Do you know me? I get whatever I want.
I JUST asked specifically about sony products specifications and got oposite responses from a mod and from a staff member.
And yes, he's lying, some versions of Z1 and Z HAVE IR BLASTER AND ARE WATERPROOF. I've checked with with friends that have those phones and confirmed it to me. completely the oposite from what he said.
Don't know why you put ZL I specifically said waterproof. or there's some versions of the ZL that are waterproof too?

I suggest you calm down and drop this attitude.ZL is not waterproof and good for you if you can get the japanese versions.

I'm very sorry if you feel i gave you wrong information but before i replied in this thread i checked which country you registered in your account here and you have selected Portugal. In that case i will not check specifications for models sold in Japan only.
But regarding models sold in Japan only, it will be hard for the staff working on this forum to assist you as we don't handle those products here. For information and support on Japan only models i recommend that you contact our support in Japan: http://www.sonymobile.co.jp/support/

There are no versions of ZL that is waterproof. I mentioned it as it's our only current phone sold on global level that has irda.

I suggest you don't lie to the consumer.
I saw the Rickard anwser and considered not buying sony phones for my company, we need about 100 waterproof phones with IRDA. But since you said that I made a few phone calls and found out that he was actually wrong and changed my mind.

But since Sony has this atitude throwards the consumer I'm reconsidering it again. I don't appreciate companies that lie to the consumer.

To save many others from searching the same information as I did without any confusion I'm going to highlight:

Xperia Z SO-02E and Xperia SO-01F have irblaster and are waterproof
this is the correct answer.

ofc all this could be very easily solved if sony websites had all the information the consumer needs.

My impression of sony dropped dramatically after this so called "support" forum. I'm going to complain about it.

I will try my Englisch Hier ... Xperia Z & Z1 phones not for US market Come in various colors and features not included with Amerika Versions ... I.E. Phones in this model range DO Habe IR blast and fingerprint if purchase in European market also !
