I use xperia T LED everyday so I think that are only for save battery life maybe when recording 4K to prevent overheating...

I own the Z3 Compact and notice this to, many times i had to bring out my old HTC One S for the flash light. The only time the LED is at its brightest is when i take a picture. There was three selling points for me on this phone, Video, Picture and Music, i should of went for the fourth which should of been flash light as where i work there are many times i need a flash light. When my contract with bell is up i certinly will be unlocking the boot loader/rooting and changing up a few things, as for the over heating issue, makes no sense to me what so ever, if samsung, htc, LG, and so one can have their leds at 100 percent during flash light mode, there should be no reason a what, 600 dollar phone (to buy new) cant handle it, maybe in 4k recording mode and possibly 1080 HD recording, i can see it being a issue along with complete battery drain. I love my sony z3 , its a fast phone, works flawless with my bluetooth devices, headsets, car audio system, home audio system, the videos and pictures are out of this world for a phone, but when it comes to some thing simple as the flash light, well sorry its a fail

If someone have done root in his z3c he can manually change parameters of LED current while in torch and camera-torch mode.

But ofc I know, after root we lost our warranty.

I think we should have the option to change the flashlight power from 30% to 100% in the settings somewhere, I don't like to be restrained of using the full potential of a feature of a phone I bought knowing that other smartphones out there have the option of using the full power of the flashlight. I'd like this to be changed as I mainly use the flashlight to look under the sofa when I drop something, for example, or when I want to look for something in the dark. I sometimes use it to guide myself to the fuse box when the power Is cut so a strong flashlight is of great help. Maybe in the next update it could be added to the settings and I understand the fact that for prolonged time it could damage the phone or lower its performance, but a limit of time can also be added so that the full power can be use for a certain amount of time and then it shuts off with a warning or something like that.

I'd appreciate if you thought this through.

Thank you for your time
