Hi
I've noticed the the device memory bar on the storage scene in settings is displaying the wrong information. The bar shows i have used 3/4 of my internal memory, mainly as app. However the amount shown as available on the same screen shows 9.3MB. Also in device facts (under the diagnostics menu ) it shows that i have only used 2.3GB. I think the problem comes from my use of the sd storage feature on google music. The music files are definitely saved on the sd card. The phone seems to recognise this itis just this status bar that is misreading the information. Will this cause me problems? Can i fix it? Or should i just ignore it?

Thanks

Kevin

Thanks uliwooly,

I've disabled the cache during playback, cleared the cache data from the apps menu and rebooted the phone. Sadly no improvement. Using file commander there are no files showing in any of the Google music data files on the internal memory. The same files on the Sd card are showing all my music files are stored there. On the storage screen the status bar for device memory is now 95% blue (app data) but under the bar it tells me i have 9.3 MB available. In the breakdown, the Apps section shows 10.3Gb used. Very strange. The storage bar and information breakdown for my SD card are displaying correctly. When i go to the Apps section the green bar at the bottom of the screen, under the download tab, shows 2.3Gb internal memory used. Confused!

could you upload a screenshot either here or to box or dropbox and post the link here?

keep in mind that you won't have access to all 16GB as some its used by the firmware

As you can see from these screen shots the staus bar includes the data from google music that is definately stored on the SD card. When looking at the app screen the device memory is shown correctly at the bottom of the screen. This is corroborated in the device facts tab in diagnostics. Thanks for your time on this.
