I updated my Sony xperia z2 And now there are no sounds when I receive all messages and any other notification from all my apps. All I get is a vibration.
In messages under settings, I have chosen my notification tone. But nothing not even the light flashing anymore. who has the same problem and knows of a fix? As of now I don't know when people are sending me a text message

Have you gone into Settings > Sound > Volumes & ensured all the volumes are turned up there?

Thanks for the reply.
It's now setting /sound & notification. There are media, alarm and ring volumes all turned up to the highest nothing for text messages or notifications. Theres a new area 'interruptions' under sounds & notification. It says here priority interruptions. Events and reminders are turned on while calls was turned off despite calls working and messages turned off. Just turned them on. Email came through no sound just a vibration. Everything was fine this all happened as soon after I installed the new android lollipop.
I preferred the way it was before having my notification in the top left corner. Also Google Chrome has lost its tabs now. I can open a new tab but can't find my other tabs unless I press the square icon next to the home icon button at the bottom. It's winding me up

Have you checked if you aren't under silent mode?

Since I have turned on calls and messages in 'interuptions' everything is back to normal.

I'm having the same problem here. I checked all the settings but still there's no notification sound for messaging, Viber, or Facebook messenger. I recently updated my OS and this is what happened. Need help please.
