      <title>Answer machine problem after update z2</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, after update to 5.0.2 the answer machine on my z2 will not switch off if I answer a call. This is frustrating as now when I am 20 seconds into a call the answer machine cuts in, unlike before. Is this just the new way this works with this version, or is it a phone issue?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Try performing a system repair using &lt;A href="http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/PC%20Companion/Sony%20PC%20Companion_Web.exe" target="_self" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;PC Companion&lt;/A&gt; as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)&lt;BR /&gt;Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ok, I've now re-set the phone, done a full software repair and still have the same problem. I have noticed that if I answer a call with the screen swipe it is ok, but if I answer with motion the answer machine comes on after the set time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Same thing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Answering machine on - answer with "old?" style swipe - no problem - full conversation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Answering machine on -&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; answer with motion (up to your ear) - cuts off the wife after 10 seconds (Sometimes this is good!!!! ... lol &lt;IMG class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.co.uk/html/images/smilies/013.png" alt="Winking_Face" title="Winking_Face" /&gt; )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But hey, Sony!!!! surely this can get sorted. Throw me a bag of money and I'll give it a go!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm afraid this is a software issue with the latest version. The issue may occour if you enable smart call handling or if you answer a call by pressing the answering button on a headset. The issue will be fixed in the next software update.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
