"No Service" after lollipop update

Yesterday I updated my Z2(D6502) to lollipop through PC Companion.

I use 3g connection. If I restart the phone with 3g enabled i get message there is no service. If I switch to 2g and 3g it starts working.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I advise running a software repair on your phone as this has occurred after an update.

You will need to download the PC Companion software and install it on your PC.

Then you can back up your phone before doing the repair as the repair will delete all user data.

To back up your phone using PC Companion
1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Exactly what contents will be backed up may differ depending on phone model.

Running the software repair

1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

2. Phone Software Update.

3. Start.

4. Repair Phone

5. Continue

6. Accept data removal

7. Next

8. Wait for prepare

9. Select Phone

10. Follow the connection steps

How old is the SIM card? do you have any antivirus or taskillers? Do you have the correct APN settings?

the sim card is ok. Everything was working before the update. This bug is reported on other forums. I also deleted the APNs and redownloaded them. no change.

@Makarand1881 Try to select network operator by manually for the first time and then operator logo will appear in the lock screen, Its worked for me

My Xperia Z2 phone was working fine before I upgraded it to Lollipop (23.1.A.0.690 Customized PH FTF) three days ago. Now it is not always showing my carrier (Globe PH) on locked homescreen, instead it is showing 'No service'. I checked it on my Settings>About Phone>Status and verified that my mobile state is connected and my signal indicator on home screen is at full bar with an ongoing data connection as seen on the screenshots below. Are you guys having the same problem? Do you have any workaround for this? Thanks!

I think "No Service" is a bug of a new software update (.690) this will temperoraly fix once you manually select your operator,change Flight mode to normal mode or 3G to LTE mode, but after the restart the phone again No service in lock screen will appear, I hope new .726 update will fix this.

Any one updated to new .726 update please confirm is this bug still exists.

Settings then more then Internet settings then Accept then select your network provider and assuming you are connected to wifi then settings for mobile data and MMS should auto download and install fixing this issue

No service after lollipop upgrade.

I have the same on the Z1... No service bug. But I do actually have service. Build number 14.5.A.0.242.

Frustrating about the location based wifi power saving function no longer available.
