Hello everyone,
first of all I want to share with you that since a few days I own Xperia Z and I am really happy with it
I just want to mention my free thoughts over the handset, areas of improvement.

It would be nice if Sony could read this.
Feel free to share your opinion and add new areas of improvement.

1. Theme color. I mean the grey color of notification bar (which should be black), options, etc. Even app screen looks like "behind the fog", not as clear and sharp as it should.
I think that there should be an option to choose the color, maybe also some gold/brown color?
2. Camera app would start a little bit faster. Maybe add multi angle photos.

3. Gaming performance. Since there is 4 core processor and 2GB of ram there shouldn't be lag while gaming. The framerate is not always ok. Unfortunately I can see lags from time to time in Real Racing 3 or NFS Most Wanted games. Question to Sony - are there any newer drivers for GPU from Qualcomm to improve in game performance? Also desktop sometimes lags, it shouldn't take place in such a device. What about projecy butterfly in Android 4.1?
4. e-mail client.
- "Select all" button is gone Again I've got to tap every single message... Xperia S has "select all" button.
- I don't know why, but for some reason this application is downloading e-mail messages from the beginning, I mean first the oldest ones, then the others... Why is that? If I've got more than 4k e-mails on my account do I really need to download all of them first to see the newest??? This for sure should be changed! It should first download the newest messages and then ask me if I want to download older ones. Moreover, some of messages I can not see at all even it is in received folder and it was not opened on my pc...
- If some new message was opened on pc it is not visible on Xperia Z. Why?
- If any message goes to "spam" folder on pc it will never show on Xperia Z. Why? Sometimes it was really important message. I encountered the same issue on Xperia S....Overall there is a lot of work to do / to improve in e-mail section. Please fix it. I am using / trying to use it for work also.

5. Is this possible to use mobile bravia engine all the time and not only for pictures and photos?

6. Data monitor widget is not working on Xperia Z. I downloaded it and it crashes. Also the look of widget should be redesigned to fit the screen and resolution.
7. Calling screen. I really like white color. It looks better than black for me, much elegant. Anyway I heared that some people would rather choose black. Maybe an option?

8. In call voulume as well as volume on headphones could be a little louder.

9. Web browser. It should be faster. I believe it is because of chrome application itself and not the processor. Anyway, it seems that processor is bored and waiting for the browser sometimes.
10. Notification led issue. I believe you already know the issue, it is not wotking at all for me. It is lighting only when plug in for charging...

11. GMail - I canot see my mails. I' ve got "waiting for sync" message all the time 😕

12. Battery life - if possible to improve with software - please do this.

After all - I really like the new Sony flagship. The solid materials (not plastic), fast hardware, great applications and awesome design.
Off course, a few bugs.
Even that it is really awesome smartphone, it feels at last that it is a premium device from Sony. And at last it has good media campaign: on TV, billboards, internet etc. in my country.
Keep it up Sony.
Now you only have to keep it updated. I mean not like half a year (or more) after the others with software updates. Do not abandon it.

I would add
- more green wallpapers, like something with leaves and wated on it, trees.
- there should be dedicated app to allow user to set all the picture as wallpaper, not only the part of it like at the moment. I don't like it that I've got to cut the part of it and cannot use all the photo
It should be built in gallery or separate app.

A quick response to item 4 Email Select All.

When I select one email a box at the top says 1 selected, if I then touch this box I get a drop down with Mark all. Does that do what you want?

- camera app improvement - ability to add or delete items on taken picture, for example something behind the main object or completely change the screen behind the main object to, let's say, white

May I suggest a conversation view feature for the Mail Client on Sony's UI ? we business users get a log of email and I like to see my email on context of the converstaion - the huge number of messages become so much more managable with the conversation. My Droid phone had it and I miss it the most from a software feature perspective.

Good job with the Calendar App though - I especially like how you can respond to meeting invites on the mail client and the invite message goes away after performing the action.

Hi,

I agreed with you that the in call volume can be louder..i can hardly hear the other party speak when in a noisy environment.

Also, below are some of my other suggestions:-

1) BCC reply on email. Whenever an email is sent from mobile, can there be an option for a copy to be sent to that mail box ? For a business user, it makes it easier to keep track of emails

2) Auto shut off and on - Any chance of having this function where the phone shuts off and on automatically ? It is very troublesome to manually switch off the phone every night
