Apps pausing while updating

Has anybody had the problem in that the apps on my phone used to auto update with no problem, but for the last couple of weeks the app will start to download but stops for no discernable reason at about 20%, sometimes for a couple of days, then will finish off downloading and updating off its own accord.
It doesn't matter if the phone is using wi fi, the network or anything else that I can see, and the phones now at the point where the apps are queuing up to be updated quicker than they're being updated!

Google play apps? Try settings-apps-all-google play,force stop and clear data.

I've done what you advised alexdon, but it didn't work, so I also uninstalling Google play and took it back to its factory settings, and so far it seems to be working!

So you uninstalled all updates for google play? That's a workaround too, perhaps you can install updates again and see how things are.
