So my Z2 ran out of battery last night, and this morning no matter how much it is charged it gets stuck at the telstra logo when booting?

The only way to turn the device back off is to hold the power and up volume buttons.

I have not flashed or modded the phone in any way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the community,

This sounds like the OS is corrupt and will not allow access. To be honest, in this case I can only really advise performing a software repair. Use the link below to follow the instructions.

Software repair

You could also see if you can boot to Safemode. Follow the instructions here for a safemode boot instructions

Go to this address and download the xperia companion tool. Then you will be able to repair your tablet. I had the same problem just fixed using the repair. Keep in mind that the first reboot takes a while after the fix. Hope this helps! Good luck.

http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperia-companion/

It happened exactly the same to my z2 several months ago. Id tried almost everything suggested on the net to bring it back along with my data, change a new battery take out sim sd card but nothing good, eventually I had to use Xperia companion to do over the system and lost all the data but had my phone back.
