Unknown number displayed when receiving calls

Each time I receive a call it shows unknown number, even if the number is saved in my contact list.

Try settings-apps-all-contacts,force stop and clear data. Do the same for your phone app.

Boot in safe mode and check if the same occurs.

Does this happen for all of your contacts? Where are they stored?

Yes, on my phone.when I call out then I see there name and number only when receiving calls it just says UNKNOWN.

I don't even want to contact them,they going to say that I must send the phone in. Thanks for your help though.

I suspect there might be something on their side. I would suggest you to perhaps try a different SIM card.

Hi @Wes1,

I know that some operators/network providers do have a setting for this called "number presentation" and if it is disabled "unknown number" will be displayed when someone is calling your phone.

Let us know what your operator had to say about this.

Yes, the problem was there side, I went in store, spoke to the consultant, they called the service provider and it working now.

I suspect this could be something to do with your carrier. My Xperia Z1 had the same problem on Roger's network in Canada.

Seems we did not enable the caller ID feature with the cell carrier.

However, depending upon your plan, you may have to pay an extra fee for this feature.
