Z5 compact dead! won't start, won't charge

Went to sleep last night with a fully working phone that I turned off. Woke up and it won't start or charge and bridge for mac can't find it either. And it's christmas so nothings open! HELP HELP pretty please anyone?

What I've seen posted on the forum, connect the phobe to a charger, then press and hold power and volume up buttons for 10seconds and let it charge for three hours.

Is there any blinking/glowing red light?

Have you tried repairing the software?

Open Bridge For Mac,find Software Update and press "Repair phone/tablet"

If nothing else could work try contacting about it to your local team

Hi, I'm really hoping someone can help, I'm having a similar problem to those listed here. On Saturday I plugged my phone in to the USB of my PS3 to charge, it made a noise, PS3 said unknown device connected and it wouldn't charge. I connected to my charger and still it wouldn't charge. Since then it died. I have tried various things like the off button by the sim card once, and continuously for 2 minutes. This didn't work. I also tried the power and plus thing until light went blue, with varied success.. Today I managed to get 2% battery, then it died and stayed on zero. This evening I got the battery as high as 26% but now it is pretty much dead again. It almost seems like the battery is trying to charge out rather than in. I tried to connect to my laptop but it didn't register on the laptop so that isn't working either. I've now plugged back in with power and plus held until blue light was on, to see if I can fully charge somehow over night. I even tried factory reset to delete anything that was wrong software wise... Now it is still dead but has none of my info or apps either. Under warranty I need to send it to South Africa for a months so I really hope I can get it sorted myself here. Please help good people!

Similar problem. No charge, won't charge. Sceptically but hopefully tried the hold power and volume button for 10 seconds and Wow, magic, it worked. Thank you 😁

Today my Z5C also stopped working.

First it froze using an app, then I used the 'off' button behind the flap. It then rebooted. But as soon as the home screen appeared it went black again and now it won't respond to anything.

Tried regular power on, pwr + vol up, 'off' button short, 'off button 120seconds', connect to computer while holding vol down, etc.
Nothing lets the device boot again. Also tried it all with the sim and sd card removed.

Unfortunatly you cannot take the battery out.

Any other secret key combinations I can try?

My Z5 also doens't want to start. No button combination is working, no matter how long I hold.

Thought my phone was dead, been plugged in all evening, no lights, no vibrate, no anything. Then tried this combination, and the phone started showing the charging screen and displaying 94% full. It had been charging all this time, but NO lights or anything came on to show that.

thx so much. i thouhgt i had destroyed my phone. what i did to get this problem was by opening my phone while battery was extremely low, so it shuts of inmediatly i had this alot... but this one was diffrent it wouldnt charge, i tryd all chargers in house. and searched thru google and by you guys i got it back charging.
