sa-wct290,not powering up

ive had this woofer for 2yrs ,then decides not to power up at all,no connection to sound bar,because of no power,240v are live going in ,as ive tested, but not switching on.

ive been informed that this is a common fault with this particular model,because of a faulty Switching ic regulator ,TPS 54334DDAR,If this is the case would sony fix this common fault out of manufacturers warranty,
