Ps3 Problems

So recently I've been having problems with my PlayStation 3 and haven't yet updated to a ps4, the problem with my ps3 is I turn the console on and the green button shows but then after a second it's switches itself off, any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Yeah there's a couple of posts about that hinting at a power supply fault.
