Picture Station DPP-FP90 partial printing problem

It has been a while since I used it last time. When I took it out last night, 4 photos came out as shown in attached photo. Photo count is 42, yes 42 only. I firsted printed 2 and ran out of paper so put a new pile in and also changed the film cartridge but problem persists. Any one experienced this problem, please? Many thanks.

Your printer has a broken cam on the printhead cam shaft. This is a stock fault with these machines. Replacement requires dismantling the machine and is quite a tedious job. Spares are probably best sourced from a scrap machine or Sony. I believe Sony have no stock but might be wrong!
