How do you permanently and manually save a station for car radio CDX-GT23?

When I hold one of the buttons for a few seconds the word "MEMORY" does appear and it gets memorized, but only when the car is running. When I turn off my car, the radio gets turned off too. And when I start it again all memorized stations are erased and returned to some default.

Hi there

It sounds like the radio has not been connected to the car's battery. The radio needs power in order to keep the memory settings.
