SRS-X11, switch off problem

Using the speaker connected to my 15" TV with 3.5 jack lead (no Bluetooth on TV), the speaker switches it's self off intermittenty , pressing the on button it restarts correctly.

This can happen when the battery is fully/ parcially charged or even when the speaker is on charge via a USB charger.

The TV has a poor sound when using it's own speakers, which using the Sony speaker overcomes giving a much better sound.

Hi Rich,

You can try to reset the speaker using the steps here. But if this doesn't work, I'd recommend reaching out to the point of sale to see what they can do about this. (If it's within warranty and the issue isn't caused by physical damage etc. it's possible they will exchange it for you so you better check if needed).

Thank for the reply.

When the fault happens, pressing the on switch brings it back to life but
for only a short time, less than one hour before it goes off again.

I had already tried your recommendation a couple of times, which indeed lets
the speaker work for quite a few hours before it reverts back to switching
off.

Will now try to find the receipt, but I think it's well over 12 months old.

Thank you very much for your help, I've contacted Sony Customer (SO CALLED) Service, they say it's unrepairable & being 18 months old it's out of guarantee so basically they are not interested.

So I guess I will have look around for another speaker, not a Sony one.
