Hi All,

I own a pair of GENUINE MDR-v700 headphones.

When I first got them the sound quality was outstanding and the loudness level was so high that I had to turn the volume on my Laptop all the way to 10% or less, otherwise it would feel too loud.

Lately, the sound quality those headphones produce dropped, now the sound is dull, like there's no frequency separation. My colleagues's cheap Panasonics sound much better. And the volume dropped as well, I can safely tunr the volume of my Laptop all the way up and still the headphones do not sound way too loud.

My headphones did not fall, got wet or got any other type of damage, in fact they nevel left my office table, and yet, their performance is now very far from what it was or what i would expect from a >100$ set of headphones.

I would appreciate any ideas or comments you might have (I would hate to dump those headphones and buy myself a new set so early after the purchase).

Thanks.

I.
